Polyclonal antibodies are a mixture of antibodies that recognize different epitopes of a specific antigen; these antibodies can be produced by collecting antiserums after artificially immunizing the host. Because they can recognize multiple epitopes, polyclonal antibodies have a higher affinity and sensitivity than monoclonal antibodies and are more tolerant to small antigen changes.

Immunodiagnostic, immunoprecipitation and other tests, especially when multiple antibody responses are required.
The antigen for antibody preparation is a prokaryotic recombinant protein, which is different from the natural protein samples to be used for WB, and it is not possible to guarantee that the conformation and activity are the same as that of the natural protein. There is no guarantee that the prepared antibody can be applied to the WB of natural protein, but it can be guaranteed that the prepared antibody will be positive to the WB of the antigen protein.
